‘Well begun is half done’
It is easy for you all to realize that the material for further reading, as posted on this blog, is only meant to make us understand what kind of not so common types of openings and playing we could encounter at the ICL. It is not meant to make us learn new strategies and opening systems (unless, of course we want to).
We have about a month time before the ICL kicks off. Since we know, by now, the members of our team, we could start marking the rest of the team members as ‘Following’ or ‘Friends’ on BBO. When we have some time off, we could invite either informally or in a tourney, other team members and play in order to accustom to other members’ style of bidding and play.
Ideally, a few days before the ICL is about to start, we should have acquainted with each other, and be able to discuss details such as defenses against certain conventions and situations and signalling,etc. However, until that moment comes, it is advisable that we all post on our profile some basic information on our bidding and playing style.
