Dear teammates, the conclusion of the first phase found our team in the second place of our group. As we all know, we have qualified (second team out of four in our group) to the final phase. According to the schedule, we now have two weeks to practice until the knockout phase kicks off, on Wednesday, the 6 of May (however, please stay alert in case any changes occur).
In the final phase, the rounds of each match will be by exactly twenty-four (24). Therefore, we may need to practice playing more boards non-stop. One such opportunity is the so called ‘marathon’ type of tournaments held on BBO. Global tournaments, at 18:57 CET daily (schedule : http://www.Bit.Ly/GlobalClubSked). However, we should bear in mind that while tournaments do have a time limit for each board, that is not the case for the ICL matches!
It may also be the case that some of the players will need a sub during the matches. It is, therefore, imperative that we try to mix with other players in our team in order to get the best substitute bidding and playing that we can get.
Rest well and practice well and see you all in the knockout phase !!!
