Dear fellow team mates,
On Wednesday the ICL will commence for our team in the knock-out phase. We’ll be facing the team of Skopje 2. Sver is the captain of this team and two of their regular players seem to be loli232 and nino36. I have checked a couple of their matches in the round robin, and they seem to be playing very effectively natural contracts (SAYC). Their defense is equally effective, although most of their IMPS were made due to well bidden contracts on the one hand and on the other hand, due to their opponents’ mistakes. It seems to me that this match will be a bit more difficult than the matches our team had in the round robin.
It will be a knock-out battle of 24 boards. As we will be the host team, I am willing to ask them to play one 24-deal stanza and meet as we always do on Wednesday at 21:00 CET /20:00 UK time with the barometer on. (However, bear in mind that the default is for the barometer to be switched off). According to the ICL rules, the ‘undo’ will be allowed for misclicks only and silent kibbers will be allowed.
