The last match in our group

Dear team mates,

First of all, I would like to let you know that Kampala is still the leading team in our group and most likely we have already qualified to the KO stage of the ICL. You may enjoy the results below:

On Wednesday, 14 of April, we are facing the team of Durbanville. They are fifth in our group at the moment, however they somehow managed to marginally beat Kuopio last Wednesday. Their only hope of making it to the knockout stage of the ICL is to beat us by a good margin score and for the team of Kozsalin to lose against Kuopio by a good margin score. Then, they would find themselves in the fourth place and play in the Intermediate KO stage.

The team of Durbanville is led by WVivier. In the last match hewanm – wvivier pair seemingly played a natural system (similar to sayc) and the other pair, cowboycvr – coyboywalt, played a precision style system based on the Schenken system called Sanlam. They beat Kuopio because they were able to fully exploit two major mistakes (an overbidding to slam and a playing mistake ) of their opponents.

I think that we should play this match having as an ultimate goal to play good bridge. We are the best team in this group and we should be able to stay first in our group. Please let me know whether you are going to be available to play on Wednesday. All the best.
