Dear team mates
Last week the team of Connacht made it and beat our team. It was a relatively dull match, with similar bidding and play between the two teams. The decisive boards, in my opinion, were the board #9 (where Kate and Greer lost two more tricks defending their contract) and the board #13 (where Inger-Lise and Øystein left Gaykeav+lahinch to play 1 hearts and didn’t bid spades/2 clubs).
This week, on Wednesday, 6 of October, we are facing the team of Bratislava. These guys are placed last in our group. Pamok is the captain of their team and in their last match against SZPROTAWA (which, btw, they lost 24-83), their lineup was anatol – evasu – pamok – milanto.
Here are the results, so far, in our group. We are placed third, however the difference in IMPs, between the teams, is rather small. If we wish to ensure that we’re going to continue playing in the knock-out round, we need to win against our next opponent.
Please, take the time to check our results and perhaps practice a few hands with your partner. And of, course, please let me know if you are going to be available to play on Wednesday at the usual time. Be advised, this time Bratislava (Pamok) will be our host and we are guests.
