On Wednesday, the team of Kampala managed to make it and beat the team of Kozsalin. It was a narrow victory and mistakes were made; however a victory is a victory, especially after a string of unfortunate matches. I think that we were fortunate because in the last board, the excellent sacrifice bid by Inger-Lise (grand-slam in clubs) was accepted by our opponents and they did not take the risk to bid grand-slam in majors.

The round robin is far from over. As a team , we are still hanging on to the fourth place in our Group. Next Wednesday, on 20 of October, we are facing (yes, again, we beat them almost 6 months ago, you may download the boards here) the team of San Severo, that is ranked one place above our team. Macma is their captain and they are hosting us this time. The results, so far, in our group are displayed below:
As you may very well see, we need to win again over San Severo, in order to be able to make it to the next round. And we need to win big, if we want to improve our scores. However, and most of all, we need to be able to play good bridge.
