Our team is a bit far from its best shape. Last Wednesday Kampala lost by a margin of 28 IMPs to the team of Topoľčany.
I do not think that they were that good. They were just a bit more cautious and we lost, mainly, due to our own mistakes. In my opinion, overbidding in slam bidding was our “Achilles’ heel”, 26 out of 28 missed IMPs were lost on boards 5 and 7.

Next Wednesday we are facing the team of Wrocław Krzyki. They are the leading team in our group, at the moment. The results, so far, are:
While things may not seem to look too good for Kampala, we’re just enjoying playing bridge, and therefore we are not giving up.
