Rejoice! The match with the team of Dubrovnik Smart became a triumph for the team of Kampala; indeed. just like last year when playing at the group level, Kampala made very few mistakes and pulverized Dubrovnik Smart with 56-26. Apart from, perhaps, deal #3 and deal #10, Aystein/ Inger – Lise and Greer/Kath bid and played by far in a superior manner to our opponents. You may download the boards (.lin file) here.
This win has enabled our team to keep hoping that it will qualify to the next round at the ICL. According to the ranking, we are now 2nd in our group.
On Wednesday, 6 of April, at the usual time, we are playing against Göttingen-Uni. As you can see, these folks are leading by a large margin, in our group. Their team, last week, was comprised of the pairs: Aliende/ Rhume and 7SA/ Rosty_goe and played a moderate nt (14-16) bidding system for the first pair and an adaptation of 2/1 bidding system for the second pair. They are playing very smart and make use of improved bidding techniques. We are hosting the match; please let me know if you are available to play and if there are any special requests.
