Thank you all for playing today. It was a great match and it is very pleasing that we managed to beat the team of Topoľčany. A warm welcome to our new team mates, Venetia (venetia3) and Ali (fullnovice) and a very special congrats to the amazing bidding and play by Inger-Lise and Øystein.

Board 2 was greatly played by Inger-Lise while board 3 was quite unlucky, as the last two tricks were lost and the doubled, makeable, contract went down 2. Board 5 was a bit of defense miscalculation, as their 3nt bid should’ve been at least minus 1. Board 7 was a bit of a misunderstanding; in my opinion a 3 clubs instead of 2 clubs bid, or a 3nt straight by South, could’ve saved the deal.
Board 9 was, in my opinion, the turning point of the match, as Inger-lise and Øystein bid perfectly and made the grand slam in hearts.
Next two boards were won due to our opponents’ mistakes and after that, everything was just set.
