Dear friends,
Last Wednesday’s result was far from the one that we had hoped for, however it really doesn’t matter: we are all playing here for fun, in a friendly tournament.
That being said, just for the record, the main issues that let this happen were: a string of seriously underbid makeable games (boards 8, 9 and 11) and a perfectly makeable game bid that unreasonably went down by 1 (board 13). You may upload the boards of last Wednesday’s match here.
The results in our group so far are:
Next Wednesday (30 of March), we are facing the team of Dubrovnik Smart (the captain of the team is KhazadDoom). Having checked their recent biding and play at the ICL, I have to say that they seem to be a strong team: one pair is seemingly playing their own system with bids such as 1 major suit meaning 9-13, 4-5 cards,(they are alerting throughout) and the other one is playing a natural 2/1 or SAYC system.
